HOPE - Children's Disaster Relief was established in 2023 as a result of

our on the ground work during the Turkey and Syria Earthquakes and humanitarian aid and assistance to people during the Ukraine war with partners Project Rescue Children.

 

We saw first hand the lack of support and assistance within the first period of the catastrophic earthquakes and war. Being on the ground seeing with our own eyes what wasn't happening for the children and people prompted the birth of H.C.D.R.

 

We are a grassroots network whose mission is to provide disaster relief based on the principles of solidarity, mutual aid, and autonomous direct action. By working with, listening to, and supporting impacted communities, especially their most vulnerable members, to lead their own recovery, we build long-term, sustainable and resilient communities who above everything, trust us.

 

H.C.D.R envisions strong, vibrant, resilient, connected, and empowered individuals and communities that will restore hope following crisis, and turn the tide against disaster capitalism and war chaos, in favor of a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world. 

 

Our aid is based on the principles of solidarity, mutual aid and autonomous direct action. This is done by working with, listening to, and responding to impacted communities, especially the most vulnerable ones. We self-organize in the long term to build sustainable and resilient communities.
